There can be many reasons for wanting a garden consultation, including help with specific practical problems in your garden, identifying the plants you have in your garden, or suggestions for general garden improvements. You may just want some direction from a garden professional. We can offer advice on planting, maintenance, and other aspects of your garden.

1. On Site Verbal Consultation
Professional advice and recommendations tailored to a specific area of the garden, including but not limited to any of the following:
- A general assessment of your existing planting and suggestions for future planting.
- An edible garden that is productive and beautiful, advice on what to grow, when to sow and how to avoid pest & diseases.
- Planting suggestions for difficult areas, such as shady or dry borders or wet soil.
- How to attract more wildlife to your garden.
- Adapting your garden to changing needs, for example, child or pet friendly garden or easy accessible garden.
- Suggestions for making your garden lower maintenance.
- Design and aesthetics, including tips, how to deal with privacy and security, unsightly structures.
- Choosing construction & hard landscaping materials – including paving, paths, planters, garden structures.
- Maintaining your garden.
Our consultation is a ‘Walk and Talk’ session of 45mins*, where we will visit your garden to discuss and share ideas with you.
We will walk through your garden with you and feed-back verbally to you. You will be guided through options for your garden or given advice about your existing garden.
Before our visit, we will ask you for some details about your garden and what questions or problems you would like us to consider, so that we can generate some ideas. This ensures we make the best use of the time during our visit.
* We find that a consultation visit of 45 mins – 90 mins is usually sufficient for a small to average-sized urban garden. A 90 minute consultation is priced at £210. We will advise you if we think you will need more time than this.

2. Written Report
A written report which will include everything discussed during the consultation visit, with recommendations for improvements and actions, and any planting options we discussed.
* We find that a consultation visit of 45 mins – 90 mins is usually sufficient for a small to average-sized urban garden. A 90 minute consultation with report is priced at £365. We will advise you if we think you will need more time than this.
